How long do Tooth Gems last?
Tooth gems can last anywhere from several months to a few years, depending on how well you care for them. If they are well-maintained and you avoid biting hard objects, they can stay in place for a long time. You can also have them removed or replaced by a professional if you no longer want them.
Can Tooth Gems be removed?
Yes, tooth gems can be safely removed by a dentist or trained professional. The removal process is typically easy and does not cause any damage to the tooth.
How do I care for my Tooth Gem(s)?
Caring for a tooth gem is straightforward. You should maintain regular oral hygiene practices, like brushing and flossing your teeth. However, be gentle around the gem to avoid dislodging it. It's also a good idea to avoid grinding your teeth or eating hard, sticky foods near the gem.
What is permanent makeup?
Permanent Makeup, also known as cosmetic tattooing, Micropigmentation and Microblading, is a form of tattoo implanting pigment into the epidermis layer of the skin to mimic the look of conventional makeup. Although it's called Permanent Makeup, it does actually fade and touch-ups are required to maintain your results.
How long does pmu/microblading last?
This varies from person to person because skin type, diet, genetics and environmental factors can all contribute to how long the pigments will be retained. For instance, sun bed use and sun exposure have a bearing on the pigment retention, but this can be prevented with proper protection. We will always advise the best ways to care for your permanent makeup. We typically advise clients return for a refresh after 12-18 months to keep your permanent makeup fresh.
Will you go over other artists work?
Our touch up service is only for our existing clients. If you have had your brows done elsewhere, we do not go over them until they are faded enough. Once your brows are ready to be re-done, full prices apply. Not everyone can be a suitable case, so contact us for more information and send pictures!
What wil happen at my pmu/microblading appointment?
First we will discuss your desired result, we will talk about shape and style, and together we will choose a color that will compliment your skin tone. We will draw in your eyebrows or lip blush with a pencil to make sure you are happy with the shape before the treatment begins. Treatments usually take between 2 to 3 hours in total. After 4 to 8 weeks once the area has healed you will return for a touch up session to perfect the permanent makeup.
Will you tattoo my brows exactly as I draw them?
If you arrive with perfect eyebrows then of course we will be happy to follow your own shape, but the likelihood of this happening is slim. We will measure and design your eyebrows carefully to suit your face. We will advise you on what we think and listen to what you do and don't like.
Is pmu/microblading safe?
We adhere to the highest standards of health and safety. You can be assured that all risks are minimized and that you are in safe hands. However, because the treatment involves implanting pigment into the skin, that means this is invasive. While this is what provides permanent cosmetics with its long-lasting benefits, there are also some risks. As with any form of tattooing, these can include allergic reaction, infection or scarring. You will be given the best aftercare advice to follow after your treatment and it is your responsibility ass the client to follow this advice once you leave.
Who is not suitable for pmu/microblading?
-Women who are pregnant or breast feeding -Under the age of 18 -Undergoing or have undergone chemotherapy recently -Using prescription acne medication -Those with epilepsy -Have a heart condition or using heart medications -Those with diabetes (will require a Doctor's note) -Prone to scarring or keloids -Have skin disease or irritations -Have had anti-wrinkle of fillers in the last 2 weeks -Chemical peels in the last 3 weeks -Lastly, those who are allergic to lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine or epinephrine, or anyone who has any serious medical conditions may require a Doctor's note.
What should I do before my lip blush treatment?
If you have ever had a coldsore it is important that you prepare for your lip tattoo treatment by taking a course of anti-viral tablets such as Aciclovir or Zovirax. This is critical to the success of your treatment as the lip blush process can trigger an outbreak where the coldsore virus lays dormant. This can be painful and can cause a poor healed result due to bad pigment retention. It's also important to keep your lops hydrated in the run up to your treatment, dry lips are more difficult to work with and again this could negatively effect your healed result.
If I've had lip filler am I able to also have lip blush?
Yes, the two treatments work really well together, you just need to plan your appointments carefully so that the lips have enough time to heal in between treatments. We recommend waiting at least 6-8 weeks between treatments.
What are Lip Fillers?
Lip fillers are injectable treatments used to add volume, shape, and definition to the lips. They are typically made of hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the body and helps to maintain moisture and structure.
What does the procedure involve?
The process involves a trained professional injecting the filler into specific areas of the lips. It typically takes about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the amount of filler needed. Some numbing cream or a local anesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort.
How long does Lip Filler last?
The results usually last between 6 to 12 months, depending on the type of filler used and your individual metabolism. After that, you may need a touch-up to maintain the fullness.
Are Lip Fillers painful?
There may be some discomfort during the injection, but most people find it tolerable. The use of numbing creams or ice packs before treatment can help reduce pain.
What are the risks and side effects?
Common side effects include swelling, bruising, and tenderness at the injection site. Rare side effects might include infection or lumps. These are typically temporary, and any issues should be addressed by your provider.
How soon can I see results?
Most people see immediate results after the procedure. However, the full effect may take a few days as any swelling goes down.
Can I reverse Lip Fillers?
Yes, if you're unhappy with the results or experience complications, an enzyme called hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the filler.
What is Xeomin?
Xeomin is a botulinum toxin injection (like Botox) used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet around the eyes, and forehead wrinkles. It works by blocking nerve signals that cause muscles to contract, leading to smoother skin.
How long does a Xeomin treatment take?
A typical Xeomin session takes around 10-20 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated. It's a quick procedure with little to no downtime, making it easy to fit into a busy schedule.
How soon will I see results?
Results usually begin to show within 3-4 days, but the full effect is often visible within 1-2 weeks after treatment. The results typically last between 3 to 6 months, depending on the individual.
Is Xeomin painful?
The injections are typically well-tolerated, though some discomfort may be experienced. The needles used for Xeomin are very fine, and most people report only a slight pinching or stinging sensation during the procedure. A topical numbing cream may be applied if you're concerned about discomfort.
How is Xeomin different from Botox?
While both Xeomin and Botox are botulinum toxin-based treatments, Xeomin is considered "naked" botulinum toxin, meaning it doesn't contain any additives (like the proteins found in Botox). This makes Xeomin less likely to cause resistance over time, but both treatments have similar effects and last roughly the same amount of time.
Are there any risks with Xeomin?
As with any injectable treatment, there are risks, including infection, allergic reaction, or unintended effects like temporary eyelid drooping. Choosing a qualified and experienced injector can minimize these risks.
What are Tooth Gems?
Results usually begin to show within 3-4 days, but the full effect is often visible within 1-2 weeks after treatment. The results typically last between 3 to 6 months, depending on the individual.
How are Tooth Gems applied?
Tooth gems are typically applied by a dental professional or a trained specialist. The process involves cleaning the tooth surface, applying dental adhesive, and then attaching the gem. It’s a quick procedure that usually takes around 30-45 minutes.
Are Tooth Gems safe?
Yes, tooth gems are generally considered safe when applied by a professional. The materials used for the gems are typically non-toxic, and the bonding adhesive used is designed for dental work, so it’s safe for your teeth and gums.
